On big platforms, people come for the app — not for you. calabi is built so the audience comes to the creator. Follow is free. Creators can set a premium membership price for livestream. Paid charges only happen after Stripe. We do not invent viewers, balances, or a live picture.

Why this is different

Big platforms build customers for themselves. Search and Home keep people inside their product. Your channel is a stop along the way.
calabi points the relationship at you. Your share link, your membership price, your uploads. Formats stay clean: 16:9 videos, 9:16 clips, quiet pics. No stories or DMs.
Follow is free. Premium is a real charge. Nothing unlocks premium from a bare Follow click. Premium membership is for livestream only.

How money works today

Creators set a list price on Channel (default $5/mo). Checkout shows that price. A Stripe Payment Link is what actually charges a card. Premium is marked only after Stripe sends the buyer back.

Payouts are not live as a bank transfer. Anyone can create. People apply to earn. The owner marks money sent after paying by hand. Views are not worth a dollar rate. There is no automatic withdraw.

Discovery ranks by real watch signals — completion, rewatches, shares, skips — not follower count. Recommended keeps that order until you refresh the page.

If you are recruiting creators

Send them to Create to post. Send them to Apply to earn if they want payouts. The apply page lists what is live and what is not: no ad RPM, no bank payouts, live is a lobby, captions are pasted by hand. That is intentional so a creator is not sold a fake studio.
